Heavy, heavy rain in the afternoon as i went to meet Skinny at Katong. Skinny "kenged" MC again todae. He brought me to the place where he got his MC. The clinik allegedly does not prescribe medication; instead, it sold MCs! Haha he told me tat Melvin is also a "regular" of the clinik during his NSF days as well.. No wonder they both had such "impressive" records. Warned by Skinny nt to reveal its location though..

Long day todae..
Went to National Skin Centre to seek doktor for consultation abt the unsightly growth on my ear. Its a long story and it has a long history. I started ear-piercing 5 years ago and 2 years ago, the particular earhole became infected. I promptly removed all my rings and tot i'll wait for it to heal, bt it didn't. At the point of time, it didn't realli bother me as i had my long goldie locks bt nw tat im havin short hair, its kinda unsightly and even some realli old frens have been going 'Wah! Wats tat?!" Lol, scumbags.. I have a letter of referral from Geylang Polyclinik when i went there last week and i was referred to go to NSC for consultation. NSC operates on a strictly appointment only basis which i discovered only when i reached there. Twas mislead. Assigned the date Dec 13th for my consultation..
Since i was at Novena, i tot i'll juz drop by BIUS to see Anthony, or Karen, or GP whomever might be there. None of them were werkin todae though. Jalan jalaned arnd Novena and ended up at San Bookshop and buying 3 new books. Bought some cookies and returned home..

Went for mass at yesterdae at Hope Family Service wif Siyin. I've nt been to mass for a long time, nearly 3 years? Sacrilege, lol. The service is nt wat i quite expected, quite unlike the Catholic mass im used to. Aniwae, the service is basically a sing-and-worship session and a sermon. Lotsa pple there including youngsters. Heard from Siyin tat they also have Cathechism lessons. The prodigal son has returned..
Read abt spooky fotographs in the sundae papers. Seems most of them r edited fotos (fotoshop), while others r either havin shutterspeed complications or exposure problems. One of the fotos gave me an idea. I've nt been puttin much effort into perspective in my shots recently, tink i'll work harder on tat..

Olinda's out of S'pore Idol. I think she's great though and Taufik is great as usual.
Been readin up on philosophy these few days. It seems artists are very often influenced by thoughts of philosophy in their works. Aesthetics is the philosophy of art. Whenever we look at a particular piece of work, everyone draws their own conclusions to it and even the term "aesthetic value" and its meaning varies from individual to individual. Analysis or synthesis? It seems one's "style" is part of who we are. I personally tink tat one's "style", is governed by terms like "who we are","what we like". In a sense, philosophy answers tat question for us alreadi when we ask ourselves the question. How much do we realli know abt ourselves? Confused? Lol.. I got confused myself many times while reading. Gd to ponder over and think abt though. And i'm still FAR from finishing the book. Its just too deep to just read over, need to reflect as well. Hopefully when i finish it, i'll gain more insight..

Woke up to find my self under siege in my own room. My mum and sis have some relatives over again for mahjong. Finished the books by Michael Stackpole. Sad ending for the DragonCrown Wars Cycle. Received news from Nur. tat MTV is holdin a global tribute night to The Cure. Wished i could watch but my relatives r watchin Tv so i can't catch the Tribute. Alas.. Little bits of funnies from the timeline. Lol.

Was readin almost the entire day as well. Jammin session todae was cancelled because both Josh & Nur couldn't make it. Met Jamie for kopi at the S'pore Post in the evening. Lol, she interrogated me on wat i've been doing recently and we had a little chat on fotography as well. Seems she's suddenly developed another new interest again..
Its holidaes for the undergrads at NUS. Seems they r havin the holidaes so they'll be able to study for their exams which is at the end of November. Wonder how is HW doing.. Have nt heard from Zat for some time as well. Hopefully she can cope wif the exams as well.
Going over to Robin's place to watch Romance of the 3 Kingdoms later. Maowee is wif Robin playin PS2 games alreadi. Guess his sister will have to put up wif me lol. Havin snooker session later at Starlight so i figured i'll go over earlier to avoid having to take cab from home when the show finishes at 1am later..

Pretty much feeling jovial the entire day. Spend my entire day reading. Quite looking forward to S'pore Idol cause its Asian Songs nite. Realli curious abt wat songs Daphne Khoo & Sylvester would be singing since Daphne Khoo's the former singer for All Countries, a local act while Sylvester has been quite "rockish". Disappointment! Had tot tat Daphne would use the theme todae to do the kinda songs tat she's been doing before she joined S'pore Idol. Sylvester said Jay Chou & David Tao r his influences n he sang their songs. I have no comments.. Taufik is doing great though. Although i didnt understand much wat he was singin, he made gd choices for his songs. Is it part of the publicity campaign for Sylvester? Seems most of his fans for teenage school girls n he seemed to be realli Idol quality although i dun realli tink he sings very well. Pity those other contestants who are better singers, bt didnt make it this far because they dun have the "Idol" factor. Such a waste..

Didn't sleep the entire nite. Was on Raymond Feist's The King's Buccaneer &
once i start, i dun stop! Lol talk abt "intensive" reading, & of course i finished it at 6plus am this morning.
Went wif my mum & sis to catch Shark's Tale. Quite funny actualli bt i still prefer Shrek & Finding Nemo. Have nt caught a movie wif my mum for a very long time alreadi. When Findin Nemo just came out, my sis & i juz caught it wif our frens. When my mum asked me to take her to the movie, i've alreadi watched it so my mum had to "force" my dad to go wif her lol. This time round, my mum has her kids for company.
She's lonely & tired. Whenever she comes home from work, she'll juz start playin solitaire or some other games & den its time to cook for dinner. She's always "complaining" tat we r always in our rooms, & tat she doesn't have much chance to spend time wif us. I remembered when i was a little kiddo, i spend almost all my time wif my family especialli my mum. How different things are right now from the past. It seems to me like she has suddenly aged alot & it i felt a tingling sensation & it brings a cramp in my tummy when i tink abt it..

Just heard from Nur tat Mr Poh passed away this morning. He was suffering from stomach cancer.. He used to teach me basic drawing though i've never really been gd at it. He studied in France n he even did a stint as an artist over there. I remember him sharing his life experiences during lessons. He seemed to have lead a fulfilling life doing the thing he enjoied most, drawing & sharing his knowledge wif the rest of us. He even knew my sec. school art teacher. He always jokes abt it sayin she's his junior.. Wished i had been more serious wif my drawings, although i know tat what he has taught me before is still part of me.. Thank you for all u've taught me Mr Poh..

My mum finalli returned me my Pink Floyd t-shirt she "borrowed" last week when she went to Genting. Proudly donned the t-shirt & went to the Geylang East Library. It seems i've exhausted the collection of Gemmell novels there. Same case wif Raymond Feist. Decided to try a new author Michael Stackpole. I love fantasy yeah! Lol, still remembered my first fantasy novel was The Crystal Shard (Forgotten Realms) by R A Salvatore. Its abt a drow ranger (Drizzt) whom left the underdark in search of a new life. His race, the drow (dark elves) have a reputation for being ruthless, evil & bloodthirsty among the surface races thus Drizzt was scorned & despised. A chance meeting resulted wif a deep trustin frenship wif a dwarf (Breunor). Meanwhile a deranged wizard marched on Ten-Towns determined to destroy everything. The folks of Ten-Towns found an unlikely ally in Drizzt & so the stage for the showdown is set.. This Drizzt novel is only the first of the Icewind Dale Trilogy, there r still many other novels n series featuring Drizzt.. Realli gd character, go n read n get to know him better all ye faithful readers, satisfaction guaranteed!

Went to the gig wif Josh & Nur. The gig was a real disappointment.. Only redeeming factor was Model Lipstique's performance which i missed. Nt realli missed actualli, i was at the S-11 bus-stop when they were playin so i heard their performance only. Sounded quite Pulpish, gd indie musik. The rest of the performances were all punk & ska though, pretty stale. Was plannin on catching Cesspit's performance bt tat means havin to EndurE a more den 3 punk bands wait so left the gig early. Lol, was feeling peeved abt the gig when Josh said "How do you know wats gd if u dun know wats bad?" muahaha, consolation & makes sense it does.
We came up wif some realli "kookoo" names for a band like The Toyotas, The Spandex, Sitiwhores, The Panadols n more, each wif its own unique story to tell. Lol.. Gotta miss the usual Starlight showdown tonite, feelin kinda tired & home beckons..

The word forest kinda brings up a image of a sunny & greeny place. Wat would it be like to walk along a forest path in the dark? Gloomy, and a feeling of helplessness suffocates. Took this pic at Mcritchie wif Chiaching, a mentor of mine couple of months ago. Tinkin of gettin a digital SLR for convenience sake. (and to tinker wif the functions lol) Conventional B&W prints if done properly, can be very classy & it kinda shows things every day from another light. However, the prints r very costly.. Read a book recently abt B&W wedding fotography & realized tat there r many things to shoot. It seems most pple here r skeptical of using B&W for such purposes though.. In fact there r nt many pple even doing B&W animore, such a waste..

Caught S'pore Idol todae. Gd show although im kinda disappointed by Sylvester's performance todae especialli when he sang the Justin Timberlakish song. He seems to be appearing more pop den rock these days. Its R&B week todae. After weeks of watchin S'pore Idol, i realized tat for most of the time, i have no idea wat r the songs the contestants r singin. My sister would be going like "Wah! This my fav. song!" or "The original song is realli gd, however the way she sang it...." n so on. It seems my songs vocabularly is realli terok. Mayb its due to the fact tat it has been ages since i last tuned into the radio, so recently i started listening to radio again.Ah ha ! Im a mountain turtle no more!
Surprised when Ahmao called me. Have nt heard from him since the AM days. He told me he got promoted & he had gotten himself another tattoe, this time on his leg. Lol Ahmao, walking n breathing work of art. Collaboration of many different artists. Will be meetin up wif him on the 21st for kopi..

Late entry.. Went to Ubi in the afternoon to try get some shots for "Squats". Nt a gd trip didnt get many shots n i dun tink the shots tat came out will be gd as well. Cause its raining, me had to focus on keeping my camera dry.

Met up wif Bryan at Lau Pa Sat. Asked him for ideas on designing .coms. Most importantly, told him i needed a Dummy's Guide To Setting Up Your Own .Com! Tat realli cracked him up lol. Somehow, (nt surprisingly) we ended up wif a *TCSS session.
Strolled over to One Fullerton Bakers Inn to buy NYCC & WCC. Pleasant surprise to see Willie werkin there now. Was plannin on giving HW a surprise wif her fav. cheese cake when i get to SGH. Alas! I forgot its mondae todae & she would be workin the whole day. Called her when i arrived at Outram Park & realized my mistake. She's alreadi at hme, so wif 2 slices of CCs in hand, me went home.
Changed my mind abt sharin the cakes wif my sister when i got home. My reason is justified: Its been a long time since i tasted CCs.
